K3Y is an SME, located in Sofia, Bulgaria providing IT solutions and consulting services to businesses, organisations with a special emphasis on cybersecurity. K3Y has a strong experience in cybersecurity solutions, paying particular attention to telecom and industrial environments. Moreover, K3Y participates in several R&D projects in the context of Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe.
What is your organization’s role in the project? What unique contribution does it bring to the team?
In the context of INCODE, K3Y is involved in the development of the infrastructure management layer and the implementation of the relevant scheduling mechanisms. Moreover, K3Y will actively contribute to the topic-based control of edge devices. In more detail, specific areas of contribution include the coordinated operation among UAVs, through the development of specialized protocols for their control, and the virtualization of collaborative UAV swarms and search and rescue missions. Custom ground control station software will be developed and deployed for applicable on-board units, that will assist to the UAV route planning. Last but not least, K3Y will participate in the development of infrastructure drivers.

INCODE’s goals and objectives are closely aligned with K3Y’s overall mission. This project provides an excellent opportunity for K3Y to develop and apply innovative solutions to complex problems within the organization’s field of expertise, but also to make progress towards its strategic direction through actively acquiring new skills and experience. Furthermore, the efficient collaboration and engagement with the consortium partners can foster the culture of continuous improvement within our organization.
